On Dec. 27 I paid for TurboTax 2017. I wasn't ready to file. I'm online to prepare my return and it says to pay when ready to file. Why doesn't it know I have paid?

Did you purchase a pre-payment code through an email promotion? If so, you need to enter the pre-payment code into TurboTax to pay for your return. Here's how to enter the code: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/replies/2648021
