I brought a CD and go to file my tax and did it without CD due to no CD drive. Now it is asking for pre-payment code. Is it same as Installation key code on my CD?

We're sorry to hear you are having this issue. A 21 digits Installation Key Code is to be used for TurboTax CD/Download and an 11 digits pre-payment code is to be used for TurboTax Online.

If you are having issues with the installation of TurboTax from the CD, please use the following link where you will be able to download and install the version you have purchased. Download TurboTax  Choose the version you have purchased, download the software and enter your 21 digit Installation Key Code (IKC).

If you haven’t purchased a prepayment code yet, you can click Continue at the bottom of the payment window when you finish the return to pay by a credit card. Then you will get a code to use before filing.

my prepayment code is not working I have filed 9 taxes but only one of them had an income over $25,000. it says I can file 20 returns???? Never had issues with standard cd version. First time buying online version and I never will again. I sitting here waiting for help and no response this is ridiculus.
