The new “Confirm my Representative” service only applies to new authorization requests submitted through Represent a Client. Representatives who use EFILE and certified tax software to submit clients’ returns, including authorization requests, will not be impacted. Representatives with delegated authority will be able to use the new “Confirm my Representative” service to verify other authorization requests.
