How do I enter my T5008/RL-18

When using TurboTax Online you will: 

• Select the image of the magnifying glass (or Find) in the upper-right area of TurboTax.
• Enter “T5008” in the Find window.
• Select T5008 / Relevé 18 Securities Transactions from the list of results, and then select Go.

The T5008 - Relevé 18 - Summary step appears.

• Select Enter New T5008 - Relevé 18.

The T5008 - Securities Transactions step appears.

• Fill out the form in TurboTax with the information from your slip.

Note: If your T5008 slip is for a joint account shared between spouses, enter your spouse’s percentage of ownership in the field Enter percentage of slip to claim on your spouse’s tax return (if applicable).

• Select Enter Relevé 18.

The Relevé 18 - Statement of Securities Transactions step appears.

• Fill out the form in TurboTax with the remaining information from your Relevé 18.

Select Done With T5008 - Relevé 18.

The T5008 - Relevé 18 - Summary step appears.

1. Review the information on the screen and follow the instructions below that match your situation.

• If the information is correct, select Done With T5008 and Relevé 18 Slips.
• If the information isn’t correct, select Edit next to the slip and correct the information. When you return to this step, select Done With T5008 and Relevé 18 Slips.
• If you have more T5008 slips or Relevé 18 slips to enter, select Enter New T5008 - Relevé 18. When you return to this step, select Done With T5008 and Relevé 18 Slips.
