There is only one self employed income in file but they are charging for both return as self employed

Regardless of which version of TurboTax you are using, if you want to prepare your return together with your spouse, then you both will be using the same version of the program. You can only prepare your returns in different products if you prepare your returns separately. 

 

TurboTax software will guide you to use the Self-Employed version to be able to claim your business information and both your spouse and yourself will be charged the same as the software is designed 

to integrate the information from both spouses to obtain the best possible tax outcome, tools, advice and information for each spouse. For this reason, both spouses need to use the same version.
