Are you perhaps referring to the New Brunswick low-income tax reduction? To claim this:

If you are using TurboTax Online:

  • Click on the “Provincial” tab and select “Provincial Tax Credits”.

  • This brings you to the “Your New Brunswick tax credits profile for 2017”. Check Off the “Low-income tax reduction” and then click the blue “Continue” button.

  • This brings you to the “New Brunswick low-income tax reduction” page. There you can claim the credit for you or your spouse, as well as enter any unused amounts.

If you are using TurboTax CD/Download:

In the Easy Step Interview mode:

  • Click on “Provincial” in the side menu. Click the arrow next to “New Brunswick” to open the sub menu and then select “Provincial Tax Credits”.

In Forms mode, click “Find”. Search for NB428, select it from the list and click the “OK” button. Scroll down to page 2 “Step 4 - New Brunswick low-income tax reduction” (line 6156/50).
