TTBInc 2015 Ver. 2015.5.0 Build 0 - QTBInc.exe is getting tagged as SONAR.AM.C!g1 Trojan Virus by Norton Security. Is this legitimate security threat warning by Norton?

Hi there,

After updating TurboTax Business Incorporated to Version 2015.5.0 Build 0 it was tagged as security threat by Norton Security as SONAR.AM.C!g1 Trojan Virus. It blocked QTBInc.exe for having a suspicious activity. Is this legitimate cyber security threat?

Thanks in advance.

No.  It is most likely a false positive as it is a heuristic detection.  See response here:

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering maybe Intuit is compromised by cyber criminals injecting their shenanigans to TurboTax downloadable auto updates. It's possible isn't it or am I too cautious? I think Intuit should issue a formal response to this false positive security issue if it is.

You are too cautious.  Cyber criminals are unlikely to be interested in adding anything to TT when they are much more successful using email scams.  Intuit may not even know about it. Norton is unlikely to tell anybody that their software is sucking out other software .exe's.
You can talk to Intuit support if it makes you feel better:

That make sense. Thanks!
