What is the process for getting a refund for buying Turbo Tax and for the extra amount I paid for speaking with a live TurboTax consultant?

The amount of income tax payment/return that they calculated was wildly innaccurate from what my actual payment-return was

Did you check your Notice Of Assessment to see what the CRA changed on your return?

Thank you for using TurboTax.

Thank you for replying. With all due respect, does it matter what, if anything, was changed?  The point it that TurboTax's calculations and conclusions were way off.  Shouldn't TurboTax be accurate? Why would the CRA need to change anything if TurboTax had been accurate in the first place?

What the CRA changed is the most important part of this conversation, since that's what the CRA determined was different from the tax return that you submitted. There are many reasons why the CRA might change things that are not due to TurboTax's calculations, including missing info, t-slips that are missing or incorrect, simple typos, etc... Even if it does turn out to be an issue with TurboTax, we would need to know what the CRA's results were to compare them with the software's results to see what went wrong.
