When Blue Cross pays an expense, can I claim that payment?

No. You can only claim what you paid yourself and Blue Cross didn’t pay or reimburse you for. Ex: If you went to the dentist and they paid 80% of the fee, you can only claim the remaining 20%. If they paid the full fee, then you can’t claim it at all.
