Why did the tool promise to help set up a CRA account and then never do it? I think it's a bug. Was anyone able to setup an account through TurboTax?

TurboTax doesn't promise to help you set up a CRA My Account. Can you point us to where you got that impression from?

Rather, TurboTax can:

1. Import your tax slips and other info using CRA's Auto-Fill My Return service, but you must have a CRA My Account already set up.
2. Help you sign up for CRA Online Mail, CRA's notification service.

When I said I wanted to import my slips it asked if I had an account. When I said no, it said something like "That's ok, we'll help you with that later." There was no later. I think it also then skipped the income section and moved on, and I had to go back to Income later and fill in my T4.
