To transfer your Québec refund to reduce your spouse Québec tax owing in TurboTax OnLine :
- click Find --> type Refund
--> click Accelerated refund / Refund
transfer to your spouse --> click Go
- Choose the spouse who wants
to transfer --> click Continue
- Choose No to question Do you want
to claim the accelerated refund?
- Choose Yes to question Do you want
to transfer a portion of your refund to bring your spouse's balance due to
nil? or Enter the maximum amount you want to transfer -->click Continue
If you
transfer an amount to your spouse:
- This amount cannot be
greater than the amount on line 475 of his return
- You will not be able to
cancel the transfer or reduce the amount transferred to the spouse
- You can not claim early
repayment for the remaining amount
- Revenu Québec could reduce
the amount of your refund (line 474) to pay a debt to the State and change
the amount of the transfer if necessary.
