Unfortunately, transfer of last year's data is only available from the download version to the online version, not vice versa. However, you can transfer your details from last year into TurboTax Online on your PC. No need to use the download version. You can sign into TurboTax Online from a web browser of your choice.

I have been using TT for Windows(7) under my MacBook Pro (mid-2012-OS10.10.5-Yosemite). Is it possible for me to use TT for Mac for 2019 and be able to transfer 2018 data to the downloaded version of TT for Mac?
Thanks, in advance, for any assistance/advice that can be provided.
Bruce Morris, long-time TT user.

With apologies, I need to clarify that in my previous post Windows 7 operates in a separate domain under BOOT CAMP on my MacBook Pro laptop.
Appreciatively,
Bruce (Arbyem)

If you used TurboTax CD/Download last year, you’ll be able to transfer your info from last year into either TurboTax CD/Download or a paid version of TurboTax Online. Please note however, that transferring from TurboTax CD/Download into TurboTax Online is currently disabled while we resolve some issues with the process. We hope to have this feature available again as soon as possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
If you used TurboTax Online last year, you can only transfer your info from last year into a paid version of TurboTax Online.

Yes, TurboTax CD/Download for 2019 should work on Windows 7. But as the link I posted above mentions, we don’t recommend using Windows 7, as Microsoft is no longer updating that version of Windows. This means that Windows 7 isn’t receiving any new security updates from Microsoft, and therefore is open to malware and other breaches that could cause your data to be viewed by criminals.
If you just need to download the program, you can do so from one of the links on this FAQ: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/community/product-information/help/where-can-i-download-the-cd-...
If you can’t get the email with the Installation Key Code, I can’t take your private information to resend you the code here, as this is a public forum. If you are on social media, they can send you the code through a private/direct message:

If you decide to use TurboTax Online 2019, then the option to import info from TurboTax CD/Download returns has been disabled while we fix some issues.
If you need a refund for your TurboTax CD/Download order, you can use the form on this page to request one: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/community/after-you-file-questions/help/how-do-i-get-a-refund-f...

I would also like to know if it is possible to transfer last year's data from a download version using Windows to a Macbook online version on the current year? If so, please advise how to do this. I have been using TurboTax using a Windows PC and plan on transition to a Mac for the 2022 tax year. Thank you.
