Can a credit be given for home asbestos removal?

Had asbestos in the home and they needed to be removed?  Can I claim ?

If the asbestos was removed from a rental property you can claim the costs of removing as an expense. If this is your personal residence there are currently no credits that would cover that claim.

Hello, is it considered a capital expense or a current expense?
