Can I apply for Ontario Trillium Benefits if I am a home owner and pay mortgage?

Yes. The Ontario Trillium Benefit has many components. You can apply for any of the parts that you qualify for, even if you aren't eligible for others. One of the components is the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit (OEPTC). As a homeowner, you probably pay property tax, so you might qualify that part of the Trillium Benefit, if your income is low enough.
