Can I claim 100% of capital gains on rental property sold even though my wife is on title? Over the years any income/expenses for property were claimed 100% by myself.

During the year we sold the rental properties I had much lower income so was hoping any capital gains calculations would be done at my tax bracket. As already stated during the years we operated the rentals I claimed 100% of the income and expenses. Within turbo tax I was able to select rental partnership distribution at 100% to 0%. I am hoping I can do the same for capital gains

It depends on her financial contribution to the purchase of the property. If she paid part of the purchase price, the gain has to be attributed to her proportionally. Find more information at the following link: https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tips/can-i-split-my-capital-gain-with-my-spouse-2-6360
