Can I claim legal and transfer of title fees on the purchase of my new home?

I purchased a new home (moved than 40+ km due to work) but my previous residence was a rental. Can I claim legal and transfer of title fees on the purchase of my new home?

Sorry, but no.  CRA says you can only claim the Cost of buying your new home if you or your spouse or common-law partner sold your old home because of your move.  Because you were renting at your previous residence, these expenses are not eligible.  For this and more info on eligible moving expenses, please see http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ncm-tx/rtrn/cmpltng/ddctns/lns206-236/219/xpnss-eng.html
