Can I use personal tax software to report my income and expenses for a proprietorship?

Yes, you can use any version of TurboTax personal tax software to report your income and expenses from your Proprietorship.

However, we recommend TurboTax Self-Employed as it provides more guidance while you are doing your return. But if you start with a different version, you can always upgrade if you choose and your information will be saved in the new version.

Just remember, you cannot downgrade to a lower version once you upgrade.
