COmmon law partner and I were residents of Canada for majority of 2017 and had Canadian income. We left at the end of 2017 for a prolonged absence. Can we use Turbo tax?

- Canadian Citizen with common-law partner who has PR status

- Both of us lived/worked in Canada in 2017

- Left Canada for a prolonged absence in the fall of 2017 and do not have a current Canadian address

- Currently do not know how long we will be out of the country as we are staying with her family abroad

- Can we use Turbo Tax to file using our current (Italian address) as our mailing address?

or

- Can we use a Canadian family member's mailing address for purposes of filing? (The family member I would use would be a parent in the same city in which we used to live)

As a non-resident, you should still be able to use TurboTax. You will need to print and mail your return.
