CRA mentions that Mortgage Interest is not deductible for Home Offices - No warnings for this in TurboTax

checked the CRA website for how to calculate the mortgage interest portion shown in the forms but only found that they do not allow this as a deduction??? Is this correct since I have already submitted showing the total annual mortgage interest for the tax year.

You are fine.  CRA does not allow an employee who works from home to claim mortgage interest as part of their home office expense.  This is not a restriction for people who are self employed.

If you look at the entry screens for Employment Expenses you will see that mortgage interest does not show as an option on those screens.

Again as long as you were self employed you are fine.
