Do I need to claim Income from Dividends from Stocks if I have not sold or withdrawn any stocks?

Yes, you will claim the income from Dividends from Stocks. You will not file a blank or nil T5 information return. You do not have to file a T5 return for a year during which you did not pay or credit any amounts. 

 

You do not want to lose out on your Federal Dividend tax credit if applicable.
