How can I avoid adding a 2017 repayment under the Home Buyers Plan? It is my understanding that using the HBP in 2017 won't have to be repaid beginning in 2018.

If you are not yet required to repay your HBP (your Notice of Assessment will give you all the details) then in your profile you would not tick the box "I have a HBP".   If you did tick the box saying you had a HBP , then in the RRSP section you would not fill in any details regarding the HBP.     If you took out RRSP for your HBP in 2017 you would have anT4RRSP slip with an amount in box 27.  That amount will not show up as income on your tax return. When you review your return click on - Review  - down to  Bottom line tax summaries     looking to the left bottom - click on- detailed tax summary - no amount should be on line 129 if that was your only RRSP withdraw in 2017.
