I am a US citizen, my wife is Canadian now living in the US (perm. resident) but STILL works in Canada. Do I need to file her taxes separate through CRA?

I’m aware of tax treaty between US/Canada and how Canada taxes based on residency. She has US status. However, I’m not sure if we still have to file her taxes in Canada since she works in Canada for a Canadian company. I already have turbo tax for US customers. Not sure I need it for Canada too.

It will be best to contact the International Tax Services office department within the Canada Revenue Agency to determine whether your spouse needs to file a Canadian tax return.  They can be reached at 613-940-8495.
