I am self employed and use my personal vehicle for work. I would like us the standard auto deduction of .59 per kilometer. How do I do this?

I have the total amount of business related kilometers.

Hi,

Canadian Self employment form does not allow to use per km rate to calculate vehicle expenses. Only permitted way is to use actual expenses and prorate it based on business km vs total km driven during the year.

Per km rate is permitted as a reimbursement from company to employee/contractor where it is a deduction for a company and not an income for employee/contractor.
