I'm trying to file a 2016 return but I'm not sure what to do about foreign income.

I left Canada on April 25th that year, went home and paid taxes there for income earned. I was in Canada for less than 183 days on a working holiday visa at the time and earned less than 10K.

Do I need to include foreign income on this return since I already paid tax when I went home and I'm not sure I even qualify as a resident considering how short I was in Canada that tax year?
