I own foreign stocks. Dividend income from these stocks are reinvested to buy more. Do I declare this dividend (Form 1099-S) yearly or just on stock sale?

Please review the links below to assist you in entering in your foreign income/pension as well as income that is subject to a tax treaty (which we have with the USA):

How do I enter foreign income that is subject to a tax treaty?

And of course, here is the link for reporting foreign/pension income into TurboTax:

How do I report foreign income, pension, and other foreign amounts?

Hope this helps.

Hi,

The top link is broken and the details at the other link talk about reporting foreign income but the question really was whether we have to report re-invested dividends yearly or later when the stock is sold. Can you answer that question?

Regards,

Martina
