I sold a home in the USA in December but don't know the capital gains amount payable there. How do I complete my CDN tax form if I don't know the amount paid to the USA?

You may be able to find out the information needed by contacting your lawyer who should have provided you with the information required.  You may need certain US forms or they may suggest also filing a US return. You may also contact the Canada Revenue Agency for clarification at 1-800-959-8281.
