If I was born in UK but also have canadian citizenship, resided in Canada solely Feb 2017-nov 2017, now working in the uk. What is my residency status for tax return?

First and foremost a British citizen, technically I also still counted as a UK resident while in Canada. Canadian citizenship is through one of my parents although I’ve only ever lived in Canada between Feb 2017 and Nov 2017 (worked March 2017-September 2017). What would my status be? Presumably not resident, but one tax company said I automatically was since I have citizenship. If anyone could shed any light I would be very grateful! Thank you

Please contact CRA so that they can advise you of your citizenship for tax purposes
