Should I declare my common-law partners Foreign Property back in America ? She owns a property back in Hawai'i and , we're not sure if we need to declare it to CRA .
If the property was purchased originally for more then $100k you may need to declare it (not current value). However if the property is exclusively used for personal purposes then you do not need to include the property on form T1135 Specified Foreign Property Declaration.
