Is there a source on how to add Foreign Income Tax from a simple W2 to my Canadian tax return? Do you really need Assist

The Foreign Income page is only showing numbers for Income but I need to show the tax already paid to the IRS.

Before we begin, let’s remember that any foreign sources income entries on your Canadian Tax Return is based on your residency status within Canada. As per our TurboTax article Common USA Tax Forms Explained & How to enter them on your Canadian Tax ReturnW2 form is issued to anyone that is employed in the USA, residents or non-residents. Employment income will be issued on the T4 and your residency status will be indicated in box 10 (as “zz”). Please follow our article for directions on how to claim this in your return.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

I think this article is wrong, as Box 1 Is Foreign Income excluding 401k, Box 3 is Gross income including 401k and as 401k can be claimed in RRSP later the Foreign Income should be reported as gross income Box 3 or Box 5.

Also Total Foreign Tax is Box 2 + Box 4 + Box 6.

You will enter your amounts as foreign income. Here is a great TurboTax article to help you with the steps in doing so. How do I report foreign income, pension, and other foreign amounts?
