Newcomer resident with no foreign income from the time of landing in Canada

Hello guys!

Question on my first tax filing in Canada as a newcomer resident - foreign income

Jan to Sep 2018: Employed in UK

Oct 2018: Landed in Canada. No foreign income from this point on.

Nov, Dec 2018: Employed in Canada.

Do I need to report my foreign income from Jan to Sep, even though I already paid my employment taxes? Thanks for your time and recommendation.

what I have heard by CPA is that you need to just report and pay no taxes if already paid
