Paid rent in ontario for 8 months, married, moved to manitoba can I claim the rent paid in ontario

No.  For purposes of the Ontario Trillium Benefit, you must have been a resident of Ontario on Dec 31, 2015 and only rent (or property taxes) paid for a principle residence located in Ontario can be claimed.  For purposes of the Manitoba credit you must have been a resident of Manitoba on Dec 31, 2015 and only the amount paid for a principle residence located in Manitoba can be claimed
