Can I claim the drugs purchased outside of Canada, which have been prescribed by my doctor (MD); previously available under compassionate release in Canada?

My doctor prescribed a medication that was available under special access (compassionate release) but no longer is available in Canada. The medication is now only available in in pharmacies of foreign countries and there's no Canadian DIN.

Hello. I think that you will be allowed to do that, but you need to have a confirmation. I have recently bought SARMs (harmless alternative of steroids) from noonproposition56.com and carried it do Canada without any problems. It's a really good thing actually, because it has a great effect and doesn't have any side effects. Moreover, I haven't met any problems at the border, so it's perfect.

I think you can do it. I've read a lot of similar stories and they could do it without any problem. I've read it on this website

@m0n4rch- Thank you for your feedback- Contacting CRA will advise you if you can claim prescription drugs purchased in the USA on your Canadian income tax return. Yes, you definitely need a receipt.

You can. Just keep the receipt and prescription from the doctor. I was carrying a whole suitcase of medicines.
