Rental payment in the Yukon for 4 months while working there

Hello,

I am an Ontario resident and am currently in my fourth year of university. During the summer, I lived and worked in the Yukon for four months (May until the end of August). In the Yukon, landlords are only obliged to provide rental receipts if rent is paid in cash. I paid via e-transfer at the beginning of each month. Upon requesting a rent receipt now (February) to do my taxes, the landlord told me she doesn't provide them.

In this situation I have a couple of questions: 1) Can I claim my rent in the Yukon while doing my taxes as an Ontarian, 2) Are e-transfer receipts sufficient as evidence for these payments, and 3) how can I claim this rent?

You can only claim rent in Ontario that was for a dwelling in Ontario. You wouldn't be able to claim the rent you paid in the Yukon.
