Can i carry forward unreported 2016 capital loss on my 2017 tax return?
The best course of action would be to file an
amendment to include the loss on your 2016 tax return, before using the loss on
your 2017 return. The CRA says that you should be reporting gains & losses
in the year that you incurred them.
