We bought a 7 y old home in BC. We'll sell our home in MB and retire to BC in a year. We rented the BC home to a family for a year. Should we pay GST on BC home purchase?

We just bought our retirement home in BC a couple of weeks ago. We will sell our current home in MB to move to BC home in a year. We rented the BC home out to a family of 3 for a year.

We are not clear if we should pay GST on the purchase of our retirement home in BC or not.
