What are the "proceeds of disposition" when a Principal Residence has been temporarily rented rather than sold?

The "proceeds of disposition" are the same whether you rented it out or not. The only difference is if you rented out your Principal Residence, you might have to pay capital gains tax on a portion of the proceeds.
