What should I put for my Canadian Residency? I left Canada to work in the UK during 2020 but was not contractually bound to stay in the UK until Jan 2021.

Had I not successfully completed my training in the UK I would have been required to return to Canada in 2020.  Should I claim a residency change in 2020 or wait for 2021?

If you are unsure of your residency status, you will need to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and confirm it with them. If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281.
