When is the earliest time one can get a tax credit repayment?

Like if one file his tax on January 1st, will he receive a deposit in his bank account in 1 week? Or he should expect it to arrive in March?

It depends on what year you are filing your return for. The CRA tries to send you your refund within 2 weeks, when you file online. However, that is not guaranteed, and it could take longer. Currently, the CRA is accepting returns from 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 using NETFILE. 

 

NETFILE for tax year 2023 will be available on February 19th, 2024. So, the earliest you can expect to get a refund for 2023 would be around the end of February.
