Who can help with "foreign income" and "foreign tax credit" questions?

I had first filled in the "foreign tax credit" form, then saw a warning sign that I also needed to fill in the "foreign income" form, so I did. After I did that, when before I didn't owe any taxes to Canada, all of a sudden I do now own, despite the fact, that this foreign income is taxed outside Canada already. So am I getting double-taxed? As there is no deduction to be seen under "foreign tax credit".

Are you a non-resident? People who were non-resident for the whole year are generally not eligible for Foreign Tax Credit.

If you have questions about eligibility for the Foreign Tax Credi, you can contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for more assistance.

If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency
