Why does my taxable capital gains in 2017 schedule 3 not match my taxable capital gains in my income summary? There is a huge discrepancy.

Do I have to fill out a T5008 slip if I only received a summary? Or can I just fill out a capital gains summary?  If I do that then the math seems to work.

Only enter your Capital Gains information once and do not duplicate it in other data screens. If entered under "Investments" Capital Gains that will be the only location for the information.

Thanks...I removed the information from the T5008.  I think it was duplicated.
