If your Canada Workers Benefit (CWB) is calculated to be $0, you may be ineligible to receive it. You have to be at least 19 by December 31st of the tax year you are filing for. You also have to earn a minimum of $3,000 during the tax year. There is also a maximum income you can earn to qualify for the CWB that varies depending on the province you reside in.

To check the maximum income amount for your province, please see the Canada Revenue Agency article: Net income level where the recipient is not eligible to receive the Canada workers benefit.

For more information on the CWB, please see our TurboTax article: Applying for the Canada Workers Benefit.
