I have NetFiled my return but my tax form was not saved when I asked it to save a pdf copy. I tried to print my form and it won't print. When I go to the print screen and try to print or save, I get a popup stating:
At the time of manufacturing this product, the government had not finalized all of its forms.
You will require a final version of your form(s) prior to submitting your return(s).
You can obtain the final versions as they become available by selecting Check for Updates from the Help menu, any time after beginning of Jan, 2025.
I have the latest updates. This is on Turbotax 2024
It might possibly be that Turbo Tax is waiting for an update regarding the Capital Gains. I noticed that in my forms I have Schedule 3 which refers to Capital Gains even though I did not have any. For some reason Turbo Tax thought I had sold my house...which I did not. Thus I can't print until the updates related to schedule 3 are provided, apparently later in March according to Turbo Tax.
@gordbz Please try clearing the unneeded form and then closing unused forms. You can find those options under Edit>Forms in the top menu.
@gordbz Glad that it worked. Thanks for letting us know.
I tried to closed unused forms and still get the same error.
What is the problem?
I had to go to Forms (get out of Easystep), then I pulled up the form - Schedule3, then selected remove form, then selected clear unused forms. Then I was able to print. Hope that helps.
I just purchased TurboTax Basic 2024 yesterday, downloaded and completed my tax return and am also having this issue.
I have done Edit>Forms>Close Unused Forms and Help>Check for Updates
Is there anything else we can do to get rid of this error.
Please make sure that software is up -to-date. Please try clearing the unneeded form and then closing unused forms. You can find those options under Edit>Forms in the top menu.
@mrpancake These forms are still locked by CRA & RQ and not finalized by yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?
We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax.
We appreciate your patience.
I have the same issue. Schedule 3 has in the title "DRAFT - Do not send to CRA, Capital Gains or Losses". I have Capital Gains so I can't delete this form. I've am showing TurboTax as being up-to-date. Are there changes coming to finalize the Schedule 3 form that I need to wait for? If so, when are they expected?
I have the same problem. I can print the federal form for my records but I can't print the Quebec return for my records. I can, however, print the Quebec TP1 by itself - again for my records. Error message is the same as for gordbiz. It's now March 13 - time for this to be fixed.
Schedule 3 is still locked by CRA and not finalized by CRA yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?

I think the issue is with the Schedule 3, if your return doesn't require Schedule 3 then it will be fine.
TurboTax needs to allow this, as far as I know CRA will make change to the capital gain starting from Jan. 01, 2026.

It's not just Schedule 3 that is in Draft still. When looking at the forms left open after using "Edit/Forms/Close Unused Forms", I found another form with 'DRAFT' in its title (T657). I recommend opening up each of the minimized forms at the bottom of the window until you find it. Once it's cleared and closed I was able to print.
I've entered my information twice and still can't save the file. Please fix.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please update your software. (Help>Update)
