Check the following questions: Do you live on a farm or in a communal community?" or "Do you want to participate in AgriStability?" Checking "Yes" to either of these triggers Form T1273, which is currently locked because the CRA's harmonized AgriStability forms are typically not finalized for Netfiling until early to mid-March. Make sure that you have answered "No' to these questions.

 

Since you are not a farmer, you can remove this form and unlock your return by following these steps:

 

• Go to the left menu and choose "Setting Up" (or "Personal Info").
• Select "Personal Profile."
• Look for a section or question about farming, fishing, or AgriStability.
• Uncheck any boxes related to "Farming Income" or "AgriStability/AgriInvest (T1273)."
• Continue through the screens to the end of that section to ensure that the software "saves" the change.

If unchecking the box doesn't work, the T1273 form is probably stuck in the background and must be manually purged:

• On the left-hand menu, click Tax Tools, then Tools.
• In the "Tools Centre" window that appears, click on Delete a Form.
• Scroll through the forms for T1273 (it may be listed as "Statement A - AgriStability/AgriInvest").
• Click Delete next to it, then confirm.
• Important: Look for and delete Form T2042 (Statement of Farming Activities) if it appears, as the two frequently appear together.
