Caregiver Tax Credit Quebec Tax Return

TurboTax will not allow the Caregiver Tax Credit for Quebec returns for spouses of individuals who do not declare a disability.  In addition, the Quebec return it will not allow for the individual with a disability not to declare the disability tax credit (i.e. transfer the credit to a daughter)  unless they declare that they are not disabled.  If you declared that you are disabled this does not allow your spouse to declare a Caregiver tax credit.  I seem to be stuck in an endless loop.

Caregiver Tax Credit Quebec Tax Return

As per Revenu Québec, the person receiving care must have a severe and prolonged impairment in mental or physical functions because of which they need assistance in carrying out a basic activity of daily living, as certified by a health professional.

Also, the person with the disability must claim the disability tax credit on their return, then the person who is claiming the transfer will do so on their return.
