Compare Basic vs Standard 2024

Hi,

I have 4 returns to do. There are retirees and children dependencies, pensions, interest income, capital gains, stocks, deductions (medical and charities), etc...

Last year I used Basic 2023 and it provided all that I needed.

Does Basic 2024 provide the same features ?

Do you have a Comparison Chart between Basic and Standard ?

Yes, Basic 2024 still has all the same forms as the other versions of TurboTax Desktop. So, you can still continue using Basic, or you can look at the comparison chart on our website and see if one of the other versions would suit you better. https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax/software/desktop#products-&-pricing

I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with Basic, or if I need Standard as well. The problem with that chart is it doesn't actually tell me what features are IN Basic. It literally just says that Basic includes all the features of Basic. That doesn't really help me see if Basic has all the features I need.

@Tatharnio Basic 2024 has the same forms as the other versions of TurboTax Desktop, just with less guidance. If you start with Basic but feel you need more than just the bare bones Forms Mode, then you can upgrade to Standard or any other version of TurboTax Desktop.

I want to upgrade to Standard. your program will only allow me to enter my personal info, i cannot get pass to pay.
