You can only install TurboTax Canada Desktop edition on 3 computers.

Why do they need to be logged into the same Intuit account? In fact, why do they need to be logged into an account at all?

You need an Intuit Account to use TurboTax Desktop for a few reasons:

You can be confident you’re downloading and activating an official Intuit product.
You can more easily install TurboTax Desktop on another computer because we’ll store your license code.
Our experts can more quickly help you because they’ll know what product you’re using.

I'm sorry but that doesn't track. I've used it for years without. You don't need an account to download just to activate.

Your experts helped me lots without one.

On top of that your restricting the license key to one Intuit account which makes using it one multiple PC 's less convenient when sharing with family members.

@MHache1717 Thank you for the feedback. You can install TurboTax desktop version using the same license code up to 3 Windows devices.

Your company should be able to identify the product by the activation code. Why do you need to link to Inuit account? Even within the family, you want to keep separate for tax return, that's how you use multiple computers install and up to 8 returns
