    <description>&lt;P&gt;For installation issues, make sure you are following these points:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You have administrator rights on the profile where you are installing TurboTax.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You're not attempting to install on the cloud.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Windows is up to date.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Turn off your antivirus software and Windows Defender before installing it, and then turn them back on afterward.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can also try right-clicking the TurboTax 2025 icon and selecting "Run as administrator."&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Windows 11 is much more aggressive with permissions than previous versions. Even if you are an Admin, the installer often needs an explicit nudge.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Find the .exe file you downloaded.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Right-click&lt;/STRONG&gt; it and select &lt;STRONG&gt;Properties&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;At the bottom of the "General" tab, look for a "Security" section that says&lt;I&gt;, "This file came from another computer and might be blocked."&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt; Check the &lt;STRONG&gt;Unblock&lt;/STRONG&gt; box and hit Apply.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Now, &lt;STRONG&gt;right-click&lt;/STRONG&gt; the file again and select &lt;STRONG&gt;Run as Administrator&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I did get a call back from tech support but after discussing the problem, the agent muted the call while looking for a solution, came back once to ask a question and then after a few more minutes, the call ended. No solution, no explanation, she just hung up.&amp;nbsp; She also never called back even though she had my phone number.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That's frustrating isn't it?&amp;nbsp; I actually found a fix online a couple of days ago.&amp;nbsp; I ran a Windows Recovery on my laptop and then was able to load Turbo Tax. I haven't used the program yet so I am hoping it will run properly.&amp;nbsp; If anyone wants to know, the fix I found was this:&amp;nbsp; "System/ Windows Update/ Advanced Options/ Recovery/ Fix Problems using Windows Update".&amp;nbsp; This took about an hour to install and restart my laptop.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
