How to add spouse (who is not self employed) to my return without being charged for self employment tax filing?

I have tried adding my husband to my return and Turbo Tax added an additional $250 to our total. He has a standard return so he shouldn't be charged $250 for full service self employment taxes? I did not see any other option and apparently there's no Turbo Tax chat or anyone to speak with on the phone? I called and AI said they would email me help but I didn't get anything.

When preparing a joint return, you must pay the same amount if you are using the same version (self-employed full service). To avoid those charges, you will need to prepare a separate return using a Deluxe version for him.
