Yes, you can claim lawyers' costs for the following:

Steps for TurboTax Online:

Go to the Employment section in the left menu.
Select Employment Expenses.
Answer "Yes" to "Did you have employment expenses?"
When asked for expenses, look for a section for "Legal Fees" or "Other Expenses."
Enter the amount you paid to the lawyer for negotiating your severance/separation.
Note: You may be asked to fill out Form T777, Statement of Employment Expenses.
