    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="background-color:transparent;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:11pt;"&gt;If you are using TurboTax Desktop,&amp;nbsp;the program doesn't do the split. You have to fill out a T776 for each spouse. The fastest &amp;amp; easiest way to do this is to prepare the T776 for the first spouse. Then go into Forms mode and then select Edit&amp;gt;Forms&amp;gt;Copy/Transfer Form, then Copy to make a copy of the form on the other spouse's return. Then you change the percentage, the co-owner details, and whatever else the second spouse needs different on their T776. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="background-color:transparent;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:11pt;"&gt;If you are using TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online), it will do the split for you if you enter a percentage for your spouse on the Partner Detail page.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
